SWOT Analysis: My Fridge

While I was researching a company for an upcoming interview, I came across a “SWOT Analysis.” Turns out, this technique is used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of a company or a business venture. (Who knew)? So, in order to better understand this ‘tool,’ I decided to conduct a SWOT analysis of my own.

Strengths:

Good dairy. There’s some milk, eggs, and cheese in there. Definitely some good fixins for a Saturday morning omelet. That was a pleasant surprise. Solid veggie presence. Pleased with the variety of condiments, too. And everybody likes some quality salsa.

Weaknesses:

Serious deficient in the juice department. A terrible lack of deli meats. And a half a pound of week-old chicken doesn’t impress.

Opportunities:

With breakfast taken care of, there’s plenty of room for lunch and dinner foods to move in and make some noise right away. Even a pre-made pasta dish would get an immediate start.

Threats:

There are four Miller Lites in there and, with it being a Friday, there’s a very good chance that the fridge could be beer-less in an hour. That’s something to worry about.

Overall, the fridge is doing its job but there’s certainly room for improvement.
